Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can to run and improve the site, and we never sell it. This page says exactly what we hold, why, for how long, and how to have it removed.

Your account

If you create an account, we store your email, your display name if you set one, the operators you track, and a log of a few significant actions: when you register, sign in, follow or unfollow an operator, change a consent, unsubscribe, cast a vote, or submit a review or a correction. We do not log page views, clicks, or your path through the site.

When you vote in Players' Choice, we store anti-abuse signals only — your account age and a hashed network prefix (the raw IP is never kept). Your votes are deleted with your account.

Purpose: to run the service, for our own analytics, and — only if you opt in — to email you product updates and new research. Retention: until you delete your account. Your rights: you can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

When you delete your account, your profile and everything that identifies you is erased. What stays: an anonymous record that a deletion happened, your votes inside the weekly counts with no link to you, and a technical fingerprint we keep to stop someone deleting an account and re-registering to vote again.

We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to operators. The companies that host and run the site process it for us under contract, and only for that.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Google Analytics runs on every visit in one of two modes. Before you choose, and if you choose Necessary only, it runs cookieless: aggregate counts — how many visits, which pages, where traffic came from, rough country — with no cookie set and no cross-site profile. If you Accept, it also sets a first-party analytics cookie so repeat visits can be recognised. You can change this anytime at Cookie preferences. We run no advertising and no ad cookies in either mode. Detail: Cookie policy.

Purpose: understand traffic and improve the site. Retention: GA4 aggregate reports; no personal profile is built by us. Legal basis: your consent for the cookie; legitimate interest for the cookieless aggregate counts.

Notify-me email

If you give us an email on a “notify me” form, we use it for that one purpose only — a single message when the thing you asked about lands. Purpose: the notification you requested. Retention:kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the notification is sent and the list retired. Never: sold, rented, or used for a newsletter. We ask for explicit consent on the form before storing it.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, and to correct or delete it, at any time. Email hello@bullsrank.com or use the contact form. We also run Vercel Analytics for basic, privacy-preserving traffic aggregates that set no identifying cookie.
