Three rules in Stake's own documents can stop a withdrawal. Every deposit has to be wagered in full first. Stake can ask for identity documents before any withdrawal, and its anti-money-laundering policy makes verification compulsory once an account reaches a withdrawal threshold it doesn't publish. Larger amounts can be held for manual processing. Before you request a withdrawal, check the wager tracker on the withdrawal page and the minimum and fee shown for your currency.0506
We read Stake's help-centre articles on withdrawals and verification, its Terms of Service and its anti-money-laundering and deposit-bonus policies on 11 October 2026. They're the operator's own statements, not tested payouts. BullsRank hasn't measured how long Stake takes to pay; the Stake profile is our wider record of the operator. Stake's terms bar people located in or resident in more than 40 jurisdictions, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Ontario among them.05
How long does a Stake withdrawal take?
For local-currency withdrawals the help centre gives the same figure on every route it covers: up to 3 business days. That's what it says for bank transfers, for Canadian-dollar Interac transfers, for Indian-rupee bank withdrawals and for withdrawals back to a credit card. The bank-transfer article adds that "each processing time is different" depending on the payment method. A withdrawal listed as "pending" is "being processed by the payment provider", and if it hasn't been processed within 3 business days you should contact support. The Interac guide says weekends and public holidays don't count.02
For crypto, the help centre gives no time. It mentions a general "processing delay on our website" and two specific causes. A transaction has to be confirmed on the blockchain before it reaches your wallet, and the number of confirmations varies by wallet. "Larger withdrawal amounts may require manual processing by our administrators, which can result in a temporary hold." It doesn't say what counts as larger.01
The terms add a wider power that covers every route. Under section 8.2, if Stake "reasonably suspects" that an account or its gaming activity breaks the terms or the law, it may "delay or decline further deposits, withdrawals and/or game play" while it investigates, and "may not be in a position to provide an explanation as to the nature of its investigation". Our guide to how crypto casino withdrawals work explains why most operators don't commit to a crypto processing time.05
Route | Time Stake's help centre states |
|---|---|
Bank transfer | Up to 3 business days |
Interac (CAD) | Up to 3 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays |
Indian rupee bank withdrawal | Up to 3 business days; "may vary depending on your bank" |
Credit card (selected currencies) | Up to 3 business days for the funds to reach your bank |
Crypto | None; larger amounts may be held for manual processing |
You have to bet the whole deposit first
"Every deposit made on Stake.com must be wagered 100% before withdrawals or tips can be made." The help centre's example: deposit $100 and you need $100 of bets before you can withdraw. The terms say the same for both routes, in section 8.5 for local-currency withdrawals and section 8.10 for crypto. A tracking bar on the withdrawal page shows how much is left. Sports bets count when they're settled, not when they're placed.0305
If you deposit and try to withdraw without placing a bet, Stake calls it coin mixing, and the help centre says "the withdrawal will be invalid". An active deposit bonus adds its own lock. Stake's deposit-bonus policy says the currency you chose is "locked until meeting the requirement set in the specific currency, or alternatively using the entire balance (in the relative bonus currency) and also having no active bets". The help centre says a withdrawal request made before that "will be automatically denied". Our guide to wagering requirements shows how to work out what a bonus requires.0306
So while your account is open, Stake won't pay back a deposit you haven't bet. If that's what you're after, our guide to getting an unused casino deposit back covers what other casinos' terms and Britain's regulator say.
Minimums, fees and the maximum for crypto
Each coin has its own minimum and its own fee: "Every withdrawal has a minimum amount and also a fee which will be deducted directly from your balance." The help centre's table, on an article last updated 24 August 2026, lists one figure per coin, for example:01
Coin | Minimum | Fee |
|---|---|---|
BTC | 0.00002504 | 0.00001571 |
ETH | 0.001 | 0.00067447 |
USDT | 2.5 | 1 |
USDC | 2.5 | 1 |
SOL | 0.01050998 | 0.000005 |
LTC | 0.01857329 | 0.000138 |
The help centre says the minimum "varies based on the currency you choose" and is shown "at the bottom of the withdrawal screen", so check the cashier rather than the table. A flat fee weighs most on small amounts. At 1 USDT, it's 40% of a 2.5 USDT withdrawal, 10% of 10 USDT, 2% of 50 USDT and 1% of 100 USDT.01
On the maximum, the crypto article is direct: "There are no restrictions on the maximum withdrawal amount. You can withdraw as much money as you have available in your account." That's about crypto. The credit-card article lists a range per currency, for example 5 to 3,000 Canadian dollars, without saying whether it applies per transaction or per period. In the section of the terms on local-currency withdrawals, section 8.9 says "Stake may charge You a fee on withdrawals at its discretion", and section 8.8 lets Stake reject several pending withdrawals and ask for one combined request. A large crypto balance can still meet the manual-processing hold described above. Our guide to crypto casino withdrawal limits covers how caps work elsewhere.010205
When Stake asks for verification
Stake can ask for documents at any point. Section 4.8 of the terms lets it "restrict the Service, payment or withdrawal until identity is sufficiently determined, or for any other reason in Stake's sole discretion". Under section 8.1 it can refuse a withdrawal until your identity is verified and the money is going to an account you hold, and section 8.12 allows "additional KYC verification procedures for any withdrawal". Section 4.19 lets Stake close or suspend an account if it can't verify "Your identity, profession or source of funds" where regulations require it.05
The anti-money-laundering policy goes further. Every account "will be suspended until adequate KYC diligence occurs once that account reaches a withdrawal threshold dependent on the accounts risk characterisation over the life of the account". It doesn't publish the threshold. The same policy says every crypto deposit and withdrawal "will run through Chainalysis". It also says Stake "may refuse to withdraw to certain 'high-risk' addresses" and may ask high-risk accounts for proof of wealth.06
The help centre adds account-level steps:
Before a crypto withdrawal: a verified email address, then a 2FA code, an emailed code or, if you signed up through a social account such as Google, Facebook, Line, Twitch or Kick, a re-login with that account (OAuth).
Before a first Canadian-dollar bank withdrawal: identity verification. Before any withdrawal by a given method, a previous deposit by that method.
Proof of identity: in the general article, a passport, national ID card or driving licence (both sides for the last two), valid for at least three months; photographs only, not screenshots or digital documents. Separate articles for Japan, India and Nigeria list different documents.
Proof of address: for example a utility bill, bank statement or tax letter issued within the last six months; mobile phone bills aren't accepted.
Proof of source of income: for example bank statements showing regular income over "usually 3-6 months", payslips, tax returns or investment statements.
None of the nine articles in the help centre's "Verifying Your Account" section describes numbered verification levels, or the balance or activity that triggers each request. Eight of them say Stake's compliance team "reserves the right to request any documentation at any given time". Our guide to a crypto casino source-of-funds check covers what to send and what to redact.04
If a withdrawal is pending or refused
Local-currency withdrawal still pending after 3 business days: contact support, as the help centre says.
Crypto marked sent but not received: check the transaction ID on the right network's explorer. Our guide to a withdrawal TXID that hasn't arrived walks through it.
Request refused: check the wager tracker and any active bonus first. The help centre treats a withdrawal with no bets as invalid and denies one made during an active bonus requirement automatically.
Account closed, locked or excluded: section 8.12 says to contact support@stake.com to recover the balance. Section 4.23 says Stake will tell you how to withdraw it if Stake closed the account.
Complaints go to live chat or support@stake.com, under section 29.1. The terms name no outside dispute-resolution service. Section 13.1 says the decision of Stake's management on dispute resolution "is final and shall not be open to review or appeal". Section 23.1 says an unresolved dispute can be pursued under the governing law, and section 25.1 makes that the law and courts of Curaçao. The Curaçao Gaming Authority's register dated 9 October 2026 lists Stake's operator, Medium Rare N.V., under licence OGL/2024/1451/0918 with the status "Assessment in progress" and a printed expiry date of 9 June 2026. Our article on Stake's licence and operator explains what that entry shows. For the wider route, see what to do when a casino is refusing to pay.0507
What to ask Stake before relying on a payout
Ask about your account rather than about withdrawals in general:
Please confirm what is required before my withdrawal of [amount and currency] can be processed: the remaining wager requirement, any verification documents, any fee beyond the one shown in the cashier, and whether the amount will be reviewed manually. My request reference is [reference].
Keep the reply and the reference in one support thread.
What we couldn't check
Actual payout times. We didn't make a withdrawal. The times above are what Stake's pages say, not what we measured.
The cashier. We didn't log in, so we didn't see the minimums and fees the withdrawal screen shows. The figures above are from the help-centre table.
The thresholds. No page we read says what amount counts as a "larger" withdrawal or where the anti-money-laundering policy's withdrawal threshold sits.
Your version of the site. From our location stake.com served its Russian-language interface with the English terms text. The terms say the English version is "the only legal basis" of the agreement.
